School has Started for 2009/2010

Last week seemed to very hectic with orientation for each of the children. Sarah's took five hours last Monday. We went twice for Andrew's on Thursday(I thought that we had to be there at 9am, but it was at 11 instead) Walking into Hannah's classroom on Wednesday and finding her teacher from last year. Of course, we had to finish clothes and school supply shopping.

Sarah ELizabeth started high school today. I have to say that I had a lump in my throat as she jumped out of the car this morning and called back to me, "I love you, Mom" and then she was off to start this new chapter. Her day began much earlier than ever before at 5:15 and we were at the school by 6:58am. On the way to school this morning, I was able to call Z88.3 and put my children on the prayer list. Tyler and Ellis even talked to Sarah...started her morning off great!

I got up at5:30 am and Sarah was up, had a shower, gotten dressed, eaten breakfast and was putting on her make up.The only up close that I could take of Sarah this morning.Andrew John, our 7th grader. When I talked to him this afternoon, he described today as short and boring...but he is only one that didn't have homework.Hannah Kay is in 3rd Grade. She is blessed to have Ms Mastuduno again this year. (Her 2nd grade teacher was able to loop up) Not only does Hannah have her favorite teacher, but she almost the same class mates...there are just fourn new ones. Hannah started having an ear ache yesterday. I'm praying that it goes away for her.

Andrew John

Andrew is growing up....As you know, he played NFL Flag Football in the past. Well, as that season was ending, his Coach talked to us about Conditioning Camp over the summer. Because of the way that Andrew has responded to hard workouts in the past, we talked about it....that if I payed for it...then he was going to have complete it...he wanted to do it. SO the last two weeks of July, Andrew was in Youth Fit 4 Life....and it was very, very difficult...along the line of Jillian in the Biggest Loser!!! I tried it for two days...and I thought that my heart was going to quit....literally! And in the heat of summer on top of that!!! After the second day, Andrew didn't want to go back....but we talked that he had promised me before...that he was going to call his Coach and let him know....well, he went back...and by Fridy of that first week...he had convinced himself that he could do it...and he stuck it out...very, very sore...but now has the confidence that "pain" won't get the best of him. I am so proud of him for not quitting!!!

This season he will be playing Pop Warner - tackle football....I am little nervous...he is smaller and most of the guys have played tackle before...but as his coaches said...Andrew works hard...his attitude is great...they can teach him the rest!

Below is a picture of him in his practice uniform...I think that he looks cute...though I'm not sure that "cute" is the wrong word to use to describe a young man in football gear...so I'm not sure what word to use now.
