Camp La-No-Che

We went to Camp La-No-Che which is actually a Boy Scout camp grounds...Richard was there quite a bit when he was in Boy Scouts and Colton has camped there. It is located in Paisley, FL...where there is no cell recpetion. It is actually nice for camping...hot water for showers and cots to sleep in...as a matter of fact...there was a wedding there...the dress attire was camoflauge. We stayed for two night and made lots of memories. We really enjoy this troop. We have very different girls...some need more help...some are tom boyish and some are girly...but they get a long GREAT and enjoy being together...also, lots of the moms are involved which we really appreciate. A couple of things that happened "beyond our control": the racoons at night were terrible...even though we had the food put away in a room...they managed to wake us moms up because they would try to get in the camp. The other thing was that our girls learned a new word which was "wha-hoo". We had horrible, horrible time with ticks...so the camp leader and us moms had to keep reminding the girls that everytime that they went to the restroom or took showers that they made sure there were no ticks near their "wha-hoo"...but we made it back without bringing the ticks with us.

Camp site was set up...hair put up and we were ready.Getting the camp set up...we hung our plates up so that the animals couldn't get themDinner time...tacos in a bag...take a bag of Doritos...and add taco meat and all the fixing...Justine had the girls pair up all weekend and they took turns cooking and cleaning for each meal.First meeting of the night...laying down the "rules"Getting ready for bed.Doing some learning while waiting for the next crafts to start...Justine had them do a word search together about campingMaking swapsThe "Moms" relaxing by the pool.Making crafts
Having some trail mix after doing crafts.Ashley and Hannah being scientist...one would describe an object and the other had to draw the object without seeing it...just on what was being described. We were on a fire ban because of the lack of rain...the girls are making their barn fire with icing, pretzels, shredded coconut...they actually learned fire safety by building their fire.Hannah being sillyWe did some hiking...the spring was beautiful, but smelled of sulfur...YUK! We, also, did a night hike...looked for animals...but the only ones that we got were the racoons that raided our tents.
